My first successful story..
Saturday I checked out the Sarasota Remote Control Squadron. Cool group that builds and flies scale model airplanes and they were hosting the 2008 Scale Master Championship. Shot some video, attempted to edit the video and submitted. Lucky me, it was good enough to put on the website. Here's the video:

And so it begins...
Welcome friends and neighbors,
Today I was officially welcomed as a member of a pilot project for Tampa Bay's 10 News as a "citizen journalist". What does that mean? I'll be given a nifty camera and tripod and sent off into the world to record the antics I see or participate in. If my video is aired for the Tampa Bay area, I'll receive a couple bucks, and after the project I get to keep the camera and tripod as a parting gift.
What is my inspiration? roller derby, fun, rock & roll, RPS tournaments, drum circle, gulf gate, viral videos.
I am going to use this blog as a way of tracking my projects and would love comments on suggestions for stories that you find interesting and fun.
